MUMBAI: An India-centric portal -- www.imahal.com -- dedicated to success and learning has been launched from California. Focussed on the needs of Indian college students and young professionals, it is intended to provide comprehensive education resource on the Web, with coverage of the US, Canada, UK and India. Launched by iMahal, the portal contains information on colleges and universities, college rankings, admission requirements, entrance exams, financial aid, immigration/visa rules as also student and alumni associations.

According to the promoters, a unique feature is the proprietary iMahal Jobsite Ratings which rates dozens of job sites on several dimensions of user preference. iMahal would soon announce strategic partnerships with global leaders such as Inktomi and Critical Path, the promoters said.
