iMAHAL announces its first scholarship programme. Any full-time student, over 17 years is eligible to apply. Contestants should submit an essay on `The Internet: Digital Bridge or Digital Divide'.

It should be 500-1,000 words long. The last date for submission of entries is December 8, '00. The winners will be intimated by December 31, '00.

The first prize is $1,000; there are two prizes for second-place ($500 each) and five prizes for those who make it to third place ($100 each). For more information contact: imahal.com/education/contest .
