Studying in America and Canada

Question: I got a partial scholarship from a university in Canada which will reduce the course fees while I have to find myself the rest of the course fees, accommodation, living cost and the cost of flight. It is really hard for me to find funds or sponsorship here. I really hope you can help me to solve my problem.

Answer: How we wish we had a great solution for you! Your situation is not all that uncommon. As you know, getting partial assistance is certainly more difficult than just getting admission, but it is much easier than getting full assistance. In this situation, you have limited choices: you can contact the school to plead your case again and hope they would increase the partial assistance, and/or finance the shortfall through personal means. You should, however, recognize that you are required to demonstrate your financial soundness to the Canadian immigration authorities before a student visa is issued to you. Unfortunately, there are no magic formulas to overcome financial challenges.
