Items to Carry
- Passport, visa documents, degree(s), birth certificate, and any other documents used in obtaining visa at the consulate. Carry these items on you; do not pack them in the check-in luggage.
- $1,000 or Cdn$1,500 cash or traveler’s checks
- Basic clothing and toiletries, and no more than 2 books. Do not buy a computer to bring along, but you should consider carrying a laptop, if you have a spare.
