Dear Hometown Research:
We do not rank colleges. But we do sometimes refer to outside sources that are in the business of conducting such exercises. In our weekly Dear Mentor: column, we offer advice and guidance on Education and Careers.
As you may know, the practice of ranking colleges is not all that common in India. We do however have some resources listed in the
Indian Business Schools Rankings in the
iMahal Education Channel.
We are curious about your question. You live in Jaipur, so one would suspect that you have a fairly good understanding of the reputation of colleges in the city in which you live. You can communicate with the colleges directly and ask for the salary statistics for the graduating class. You can also talk to the school alumni to gain insights, and to obtain guidance and counsel. What would you do if we asked you, "What are the best medical schools in San Francisco?" A reasonable answer might be, "Hey, you live there, not me. You should be able to figure out the answer much better than I could!" iMahal is not based in Jaipur. We look forward to the day that we have offices in cities all around India, but such is not the case yet.
We wish you the best of luck in your research.
