Dear Medicine in India:
Most medical schools in India are theoretically open to international students. In practice, a minuscule number of international students are studying medicine in India. The nominal number of such international students comes from other Asian or Middle East countries. The competition for entry is extremely fierce, arguably even fiercer than that in the US. A vast majority of acceptable medical schools are government-run. These schools do not require any form of donation. The quality of donation-based schools is suspect.
In order to practice medicine in the US afterwards, you would required to pass the USMLE (US Medical Licensing Exam) and complete 3 to 4 years of residency in the US. It is conceivable that you would be able to pass the USMLE even with education from a donation-based school, but we would not bet on it.
Most medical colleges in India do not have websites, so you would have to communicate with them via the traditional postal mail. You can find the somewhat limited
