| Would an MS in IT be a good addition to my skills in finance? |
I am commerce graduate From Madras University. I am doing Chartered Accountancy from ICAI-India. I am also doing MS (Information Systems and Applications) from a good Indian university. Can you please suggest: 1) What is the further scope or direction to combine my finance skills and the IT field with regard to education and job? 2) What is the value of MS Degree from Indian University in the global Market?

Dear Going for Success:
The prospects of combining your finance skills with the IT field are quite good, despite the current global slowdown in the IT market. An MS degree in IT from India is quite valuable globally. Just to give you an idea, the US admits approximately 200,000 temporary workers from other countries every year and a large number, if not the majority, come from India and most of them in the IT field.
